Change of artist

Due to illness, the person who I am using as Kiki can no longer be part of my video. Fortunately, I planned for if something went wrong and so I have a back up person who can be my artist. This means redoing my digipak and poster which needs completing as soon as possible so I can focus on re-filming and editing my music video.

This Sunday, I'll be shooting with my new person. This will be performance and digipak and poster shoot.

Nothing will change, except the digipak will look different, so I need to ensure it stays consistent with the Indie Folk genre.

First shoot evaluation

My first shoot wasn't successful, however it has made me more prepared for my next shoot as I now know what to consider.

Here's some screenshots from the clips from the beginning of my video where she gets up, looks outside and gets ready.

The lighting in this clip is way too dark, I would need to film earlier in the day to ensure the lighting doesn't change. Next time, I will allow myself a whole day to film.

First Shoot plan

For my first shoot I am going to need a DSLR and a steadicam: 

I will be shooting from 2-4pm, this may be cutting it thin because it gets dark around 4:30pm. However, 2 hours should be enough to get some decent footage.

Production Plan: Filming Schedule

I need to set dates and times of when I'm filming so that it is thoroughly planned and me and my artists are prepared: 

18/01/2016- Buying props ready for the shoot.

21/01/2016 - (2pm- 4pm) I will film the narrative section of my video in my artists house. I will need to be done by 4 as this is when the lighting changes. 

24/01/2016- (10am-2pm) shooting the performance in the local park. 

24/01/2016-31/01/2016 (times will be decided) this will be the time period where I need to go back and re-film anything. 

Production Plan- Props

I am going to need to purchase some props from my video. I have found an example of what I need online: 

Mans jumper, this will be here boyfriends jumper that she finds in the pile of clothing

A photo frame that will have the image of her and her ex boyfriend in

The 'I love you mug' that will be in her cupboard when she goes to make tea 

The mens eau de toilette that will be in the bathroom cupboard

The plastic rose in the pile of mess on her table as she leaves the house

Digipak and Poster feedback

After presenting, my peers wrote some feedback on what they thought.

From this feedback I have gathered that the response is pretty positive; my peers like the digipak and poster and they feel it reflects the genre.

The things I do need to improve are adding the name to the spine, adding social media links and indicate which disc is the bonus disc.
