10 Things That Could Potentially Ruin My Music Video

1.Camera battery running out
When out filming, my battery could die which would mean filming would be disrupted. To avoid this I would have to ensure my battery is fully charged before going out to shoot and could take a spare one if possible.
2.The Weather
Of course the weather is unpredictable, and if it snows/rains then this could ruin the shoot and could damage equipment. To try and avoid this I should check the weather online ahead of the planned day and plan a back up day in case it does still rain/snow.
3.Performer may have to cancel
The performer I'm using may not be able to make the planned day if they become ill or have to attend an emergency. To ensure this doesn't happen I will have to confirm with the performer that they aren't busy that day and if there is an emergency then plan a back up day.
4. SD Card runs out of memory
SD Cards can only hold a certain amount of footage until the memory runs out. I will have to use a large storage SD Card (probably around 16-32GB) to hold all my footage as filming takes up a lot of memory. To ensure it doesn't run out I will have to clear the memory card.
5.Performer doesn't perform well
In order for my music video too be successful I need my performer to be good at miming/performance. To ensure I have the right person, I should rehearse with them before the actual shooting so I know they are capable of the job.
6.Broken Equipment
If the equipment is faulty on the day it would mean I wouldn't be able to shoot the way I planned. When choosing equipment I would have to double check it is in full working condition before the day of shooting.
7.Discovering the whole video idea doesn't work
It could be that as I'm shooting I discover the whole idea just isn't working, in which case I would have to re-plan again which would take a long time. To ensure this doesn't happen I should look over my animatic and storyboard and confirm with my teacher that the idea would be successful.
8.Camera settings aren't right
When shooting, the light needs to be right otherwise the video quality will be bad and the whole video could flop. To ensure this doesn't happen I could research the right settings when using a DSLR to film and also practice before the shooting day.
9.Lip-syncing mess up
The miming and the singer in the song need to match up so it looks as if my performer is actually singing the song. To ensure this works, I will have to play the song as the person sings and rehearse the miming before to get it near-perfect.
10.Time Management

I need to ensure I have enough time to complete my shots, of course it's going to be lengthy so I need to take this into consideration.  I want to film my shots in the day as well and because it gets dark around 4pm I need it to be done before then.
